  January   Sessions for Wilson Sings Gershwin continue at Oceanway. On the 23rd, Brian and a
  stripped-down band play at a San Francisco art gallery promoting the limited edition
  of That Lucky Old Sun. Mike & Bruce embark on a Far East/Australasian tour,
  playing Osaka & Tokyo (Japan) and Manila (Phillipines) before moving on to
  Melbourne to play a series of symphonic shows.
  February   Mike & Bruce play Brisbane, Sydney & Perth (the last not a symphonic gig) before
  visiting Hawaii on the way home. On the 1st, Brian & Alan take part in a
  re-recording of "We Are The World" for the Haiti earthquake victims.
  March   The soundtrack of Curious George 2 - Follow That Monkey contains Brian's cover of
  The Rivierias "California Sun".
  May   Brian plays a one-off show in Scottsdale, AZ. Brian & Melinda announce they have
  adopted a fifth child, Dakota Rose (born 2010).
  June   Mike & Bruce play three shows in Ireland: Belfast (NI) on the 25th, Castlebar in the
  Republic on the 26th and Dublin on the 27th. Alan's long-awaited (and long-delayed)
  solo album, A Postcard From California, is released as a download on the 29th.
  July   Mike & Bruce play two shows in Sweden at Karlstad (2nd) and Målilla (3rd): the
  latter is where the ancestors of both Mike and Brian were born before coming to the
  US in the late 19th. century. The European tour ends with dates in the Canary
  Islands (7th) and Spain (9th). Both Mike & Alan make public statements about a
  50th anniversary reunion with Brian: unfortunately, they are more than somewhat
  contradictory.
  August   Retitled Brian Wilson Reimagines Gershwin, Brian's new album is released on the
  17th (in the USA: early September in the rest of the world). The album debuts at #26,
  and tops the jazz chart.
  September   Taylor Mills posts on Facebook and Brian's message board that she will not be
  performing with the band for a while 'for personal reasons'.
  October   Fox 2000 accquires the rights to use Beach Boys songs in a "Mama Mia"-style movie
  project, which will be co-produced by John Stamos. Alan plays a 'hometown' show at
  the Henry Miller Library, Big Sur on the 8th followed by another the next day at
  Hearst Castle,San Simeon. Mike & Bruce play Southport, Australia on the 23rd. Six
  days later, Brian embarks on a short Australian tour, playing Wollongong (29th) and
  Brisbane (30th), both dates as part of a package with America, Chicago & Peter
  Frampton.
  November   Brian plays Melbourne on the 1st with A/C/F, stepping in for original headliner Peter
  Gabriel. He also plays Adelaide (3rd), Sydney (5th - both solo) and Hunter Valley
  (6th, with A/C/F).
  December   Mike & Bruce's South African tour (5th-11th) is almost cancelled at short notice, but
  goes ahead at the 11th hour.
