1
Brian played a three song set at this benefit for the homeless of LA: Other performers were Jackson
Browne, The Bangles and Belinda Carlisle.
2
Brian was joined on the last song by Stephen Stills and John Stewart.
3
At this Moody Blues show, Brian joined them for the encore, performing "Sloop John B" & "Help
Me Rhonda" and singing bvs on "Ride My See-Saw"
4
Brian was featured in a mini-solo set during the BB's part of the gig: he played "Melt Away",
"Walking The Line" & "Love And Mercy".
5
Special concert filmed for the Endless Summer TV show. Brian again has a small solo slot.
6
Brian guested at a Steve Dahl & The Dahlfins show: he sang "Don't Worry, Baby" solo and
took part in  a group sing of “Net-Surfin’ USA” (a Dahl parody) and “Barbara Ann”
7
This was Brian's first full length solo show. Essentially a promo show for the forthcoming
Imagination album, this gig was filmed and later released on VHS and DVD. Guest performers
included Timothy B. Schmit, Christopher Cross and one Bruce Johnston (who also played The
Beach Boys show in Detroit earlier the same day). The audio for the VHS/DVD  is extensively
post-dubbed, and Brian's closeups were shot the following day in an empty theater (in the whole
DVD, there is only one closeup of him that also shows the audience) . The studio footage of the
  album sessions was entirely staged.
8
Brian guested at these Jimmy Buffett gigs, performing "South American" - brief footage of the
Cincinnati show (though  not the actual performance) is included in the Imagination DVD.
9
Brian also guested on these west coast Buffett shows: at all of them he did "In My Room" &
"Surfin' USA". Both Irvine shows added "South American" (in the body of the show - the other
songs were encores) and for the second one he added "California Girls". These guest spots would
seem to indicate that by October 1998, Brian was living in LA once more.
10
He performed "In My Room", "Lay Down Burden" and "Do It Again".
11
Brian & Melinda attended this album launch party to check out if they'd like Wondermints to form
the core of a touring band, and Brian was "coaxed" onstage to sing lead on "Do It Again". Seems
  they passed the audition...
