Brian marries Melinda Kae Ledbetter (born October 3rd,1946) on the 6th (ironically, the first Mrs. Wilson's birthday) in Palos Verdes CA. They will later adopt two daughters, sisters Daria Rose (born November 10th, 1996) & Delanie Rae (born January 9th, 1998). |

Capitol release 20 Good Vibrations - The Greatest Hits, spanning the years 1962-66 but bizarrely also including 1988's "Kokomo" (but still they manage to include the wrong - album - versions of "Help Me Rhonda" and "Be True To Your School", an error later rectified). In the wake of the 2000 miniseries, it will peak at #95. Nilsson tribute CD For The Love Of Harry features a Wilson (B.)/Paley version of "This Could Be the Night" alongside a Wilson (C.)/Beckley/Lamm rendition of "Without Her". |

Reunited under the aegis of Don Was, Brian and The Beach Boys start cutting tracks for a proposed reunion album, but after two songs have been roughed out, the project collapses during a backing vocal session for "Dancin' The Night Away" when Carl walks out. |
