On the 8th and sitting together, Brian, Mike, Alan, Bruce and David attended a Grammy Salute to The Beach Boys in Los Angeles, although they did not perform. This was the first time since 2018 that all five have been in the same room, and only the second time since the end of the 2012 50th anniversary tour. The artists included Brandi Carlile, John Legend, Michael McDonald, Norah Jones, LeAnn Rimes and Foster The People. The show was taped for later broadcast (on April 9th). |

On the w/e 22nd charts, Sounds Of Summer returns at #107 on the back of the Grammy Salute broadcast. On the 23rd, Scott Totten, the musical director of Mike's touring Beach Boys, announces on his Facebook page that he has left the band after 23 years: it swiftly emerges that longtime drummer John Cowsill has also departed. The new drummer is Jon Bolton, John Wedemeyer is a new guitarist and Brian Eichenburger is now MD. |

Jeffrey Foskett, longtime Brian Wilson band and Beach Boys member dies of anaplastic thyroid cancer on the 11th. He was 67. |
