The famous 'chicken coop' studio - and yes, it really was originally a hen house, albeit a brick built one. The studio was established in 1972 on the Kaufman family farm outside Otho IA, which would make Brian & Spring one of the first acts to record there: the dates stated are extrapolated from the studio guestbook, which Brian & the girls signed on January 24th. According to one of the studio engineers, while in Otho, Brian ran the lights at a live show by one of the local bands. |
