  January Daryl Dragon, the Captain of ... & Tennille and BB assiciate in the early 70s, dies on the 2nd aged 76. Alan plays four "Postcard" shows in Hawaii.
  February Alan plays eleven more "Postcard" shows in California, Arizona, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Minnesota.
  April Alan is inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame on the 28th (he spent several years of his childhood there).
  May On the 4th, Brian plays a greatest hits show at the Beachlife Festival in Redondo Beach.
  June Hours before the first date of his June tour, Brian announces that the shows are postponed due to his mental condition worstening in the wake of his back surgeries. From 14th-30th, Mike & Bruce tour Europe, playing thirteen shows in Spain, Czech Republic,  Germany, Denmark, England, France and Belgium.
  July The European tour finishes 2nd-22nd with fourteen shows in Germany, Netherlands, England, Switzerland, Spain and Monaco. Alan's two Family & Friends Beach Party shows in Las Vegas (19th & 20th) are cancelled shortly after being announced in May. On the 19th, Mike releases 12 Sides Of Summer, his third solo album in 18 months.
  August Brian plays three Pet Sounds shows and a GH gig: on the 31st he embarks on a 15 date tour with The Zombies tagged "Something Great From '68". The Zombies open with a complete performance of Odessey And Oracle, then Brian plays tracks from Friends and Surf's Up. Darian plays for both bands ! Nicky Wonder (Nick Walusko), guitarist in both Wondermints and Brian's band since 1999, dies in Buffalo NY on the 7th, aged 59: that night's show goes ahead in tribute.
  September On the 18th, UCLA and David Leaf establish The Brian Wilson Scholarship. The BW/Zombies tour wraps on the 28th.
  October On the 29th, to further fund The Brian Wilson Scholarship, UCLA presents the first ever screening of of the 2004 London World Premirere of Brian Wilson Presents Smile.
